Celebrating Six Months of The Wisdom Wayfinder!

Please celebrate with me—today marks 6 months of The Wisdom Wayfinder! 

I sincerely appreciate your joining me on this adventure. You can’t imagine how your replies, emails, and texts have encouraged me.

In the first edition, on March 24, 2025, I reflected on how the bonus years of our ‘third act’ can involve considerable losses (career, colleagues, friends and loved ones, health, mobility, and brain cells).

I introduced the Wisdom Wayfinder as my way of finding the silver lining in that looming cloud of loss. 

Many of my ghostwriting clients described our process of reflecting on their life experience and documenting their untold stories as uplifting, meaningful, and healing. I decided it was time to ‘eat my own dog food.’

The discipline of publishing 1500 to 2000 words each week has been challenging and inspiring. Now I have a more profound sense of what my clients have experienced.

This process of reflection and sharing meaningful life experiences as stories could be a powerful antidote to the epidemic of disconnection, dissatisfaction, and disillusionment that affects millions of retirees.

To this end, I’m writing Stories That Outlive Us, a user-friendly guide to transforming memories and hard-won lessons into compelling, shareable stories. 

As I seek other ways to empower our culture’s ‘elders’ to document their untold stories for future generations, I plan to offer other publications and courses and establish a community around this mission. 

Of course, I will continue publishing the Wisdom Wayfinder. I’m looking forward to adding some new voices into the mix. Got a story to tell? Let me know!

We’re also working on adding a podcast version and exploring ways to expand into YouTube and social media.

Also, I will publish my first book of stories this fall. Hiding In Plain Sight is a collection of episodes of my life-long journey from insecurity and self-consciousness to freedom and self-expression.

Next week, I’ll continue my series on the aspirations of thriving in our third act with the inspiring aspiration of Aliveness.

A wise soul once told me we can only appear in the space others grant us. Thank you for granting me such generous space to let me shine freely.
